Parkinson’s: Pensées & Prayers

The Christmas season ended yesterday.
Still, the burden of Parkinson’s Disease weighs on those bear it.

At times you may feel alone and want to despair over the days ahead.
Do not be afraid. Know that you are not alone, the Lord is with you always.

Remember the wonders of Christ’s love as he came to be with us.

Throughout the year, carry this carol with you either in song or in spirit:

“Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love”

Parkinson’s: Pensées & Prayers

Fatigue is one of the great challenges that is Parkinson’s Disease.

Brought on by the onset of the disease itself, and the medicine which treats it,
weariness of body and spirit is experienced by all who live with this trial.

Excerpts in the Christmas carol ‘O Holy Night’ shine forth the healing gift of Jesus:

“A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

In all our trials born to be our friend.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,”

Lord Have mercy.
Christ graciously hear us.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us
Saint John Paul II pray for us
Saint Bartholomew pray for us
Saint Cornelius pray for us
Saint Dymphna pray for us
Saint Juliana pray for us
