Lord Jesus Christ, by your patience in suffering
you hallowed earthly pain
and gave us the example of obedience to your Father’s will.
Be near me in my time of weakness and pain;
sustain me by your grace,
that my strength and courage may not fail;
heal me according to your will.
Help me always to believe
that what happens to me here
is of little account if you hold me in eternal life,
my Lord and my God. Amen.
My brothers, consider it a great joy when trials of many kinds come upon you,
for you well know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance, and
perseverance must complete its work so that you will become fully developed,
complete, not deficient in any way.
Blessed is anyone who perseveres when trials come. Such a person is of proven worth
and will win the prize of life, the crown that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

It is His will
